10 French town halls raise Tibetan flag on Tibet uprising anniversary

(TibetanReview.net, Mar17, 2018) – The 59th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising on Mar 10 was marked in France with 10 town halls raising the Tibetan national flag and with around 300 Tibetans and French supporters gathering near the Eiffel Tower for a rally.

The town halls that raised the Tibetan flag have been named as Ceyrat, Crest, Nancy, Nantes, St Gartien, St Genes, Usson-du-Poitou, Valencianes, Ozoir-la-ferriere and Paris.

French Senator Andre Gattilon was stated to have attended the function near the Eiffel Tower and addressed the gathering.

The gathering was followed by a protest march jointly organised by the Tibetan Community France, SFT France, RTYC France and Chushi Gangdruk France.
