It was inadvertently mentioned in our stories titled “Karmapa’s November visit to Dharamshala seen as uncertain” dated Oct 28’18 and “Karmapa awaits Indian visa for this month’s religious meet in Dharamshala” Nov 2’18 (last para), that the Karmapa had acquired a passport of the Dominican Republic which recently switched diplomatic recognition from Taiwan to China.
This is to clarify that he had actually acquired a passport of the Commonwealth of Dominica which is a different country. The error and its implications thereof should stand corrected accordingly. –Editor
