Internet bars face inspection before Tibetan New Year

(TibetanReview.net, Feb 7) – In yet another round of crackdown in Tibet, the Lhasa Culture Bureau is working with an Internet inspection team of the Lhasa police station to check all the internet bars in the city before the Tibetan New Year, which falls on Feb 25, reported China’ s official Xinhua.net Feb 5.

The report said the move was aimed to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for Internet users and to prevent those under 18 years old from entering internet bars. It will also ensure that all internet users are registered.
