Photo exhibition on exile Tibetans opens in European Parliament

(TibetanReview.net, Aug30, 2018) – Mr Thomas Mann, the President of the Tibet Interest Group in the European Parliament, is hosting a photo exhibition on Tibet from Aug 27 to 31. The exhibition, with the theme of “Tibetans in Diaspora: A Success Story”, is being held in the European Parliament building in Brussels.

The exhibition, organized with the Office of Tibet, Brussels, features photographs by Ms Albertino d’Urso. She has been photographing Tibetans in exile for more than 10 years. They capture Tibetan lives in exile across the world — Italy, India, Nepal, Taiwan, New York, UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, and Canada.

D’Urso is a well known photographer and a recipient of numerous awards, including the Canon Young Photographers Award, Lens Culture International Exposure Award, Julia Margaret Cameron Award, and International Photography Awards. She addressed the exhibition’s inauguration ceremony on Aug 29.
