(TibetanReview.net, Dec07, 2014) – Work has begun Dec 6 for the building of a second railway line between China and Tibet, with the aim to connect Chengdu, capital of southwest Sichuan Province, to Lhasa, reported china’s official Xinhua news agency Dec 6.
The initial project for the new railway like will be 42-km long and will connect Chengdu with Ya’an, a city in the Sichuan province, the report said.
Once the whole project is completed, a journey between Chengdu and Lhasa will be covered in eight hours, the report added.
Another attempt to Sinicised Tibet. It will enhance the over flow of Chinese people into Tibet.
