(TibetanReview.net, Mar 11, 2009) — Despite the patent lack of freedom and democracy in Tibet, China seeks to carry forward its global, multi-lingual propaganda on it by launching on Mar 9 a website on the human rights situation there. The official Xinhua news agency Mar 9 said the website, www.tibet328.cn, was sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies and its launch marked the 50th anniversary of the democratic reform and serfs’ emancipation in Tibet.

It cited the society, a government-sponsored NGO, as saying the site would use words, data and images to convey to the world the tremendous changes in Tibet’s human rights over the past 50 years. It said information on Tibet Today, History and Truth, Documents, Opinion, Photos and Videos would be posted in Chinese, English, French and German.
