Dalai Lama begins 21st Japan visit

(TibetanReview.net, Apr03, 2015) – Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, on Apr 2 landed in Tokyo to give a series of public talks and religious teachings in different cities and to meet with a Japanese business body.

He was greeted at the airport by an Indian Embassy representative. Also among those who welcomed him were priests of Japan’s Soto Zen tradition.

The Dalai Lama begins his tour from Hokkaido in northern Japan on Apr 3. His religious teachings will be on ‘The Heart Sutra’, Nagarjuna’s ‘Commentary on the Awakening Mind of Bodhichitta’ & the Middle Volume of Kamalashila’s ‘Stages of Meditation’.

This is the Dalai Lama’s 21st visit to the country.
