(TibetanReview.net, Aug14, 2014) –The Left Wing Party of Norway has expressed delight that the Dalai Lama has accepted an invitation to take part in a biennial international student festival to be held in Trondheim city in Feb 2015, reported thelocal.no Aug 12. “Dalai Lama is the personification of the values of ISFiT – for dialogue across national borders and religious opposition being a solution above violence,” festival manager Marius Jones was quoted as saying.

The Chairman of The Left Wing Party, Trine Skei Grande, has called it “incredibly awesome” that the Dalai Lama has prioritizes Norway so highly and expressed delight for having had the privilege to extend the invitation that the exiled spiritual leader of Tibet had accepted.

The festival is held every second year and brings together around 500 international students. The 1989 Nobel Peace laureate has previously taken part in the festival in 1994, the report added.
