Exile Tibetan administration appoints new representative at its Brussels office

(TibetanReview.net, May12, 2016) – The exile Tibetan Administration at Dharamshala, India, has on May 10 announced the appointment Mr Tashi Phuntsok as its representative in the European capital Brussels. He takes on Jul 1 or after he completes his visa process.

Mr Tashi Phuntsok is currently the information secretary at the exile administration’s Department of Information and International Relations. He had previously served as the representative in Pretoria, South Africa, and Paris, France, while looking after the office of Tibet in Brussels as well. He had also served as the Secretary of the Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie and as the Chief Representative Officer of the Southern Tibetan Settlements, Bangalore.

Mr Tashi Phuntsok takes over from the Swiss-resident acting-representative Mr Kelsang Gyaltsen who has been an envoy of HH the Dalai Lama during a series of Sino-Tibetan talks with Beijing over 2002-2010.
