(TibetanReview.net, May28, 2015) – The Finance Minister of the exile Tibetan Administration at Dharamshala, Mr Tsering Dhondup, concluded on May 26 a three-nation tour of Europe to encourage more Tibetans living there to contribute towards the running of their exile administration. The three countries – Switzerland, Belgium, and Holland – have well-established Tibetan communities due to past resettlement programmes and recent asylum acceptances.

He emphasized the role of communities in sustaining the Tibetan identity and culture as well as carrying forward the Tibetan struggle.

In particular, he stressed the importance for the Tibetan people to contribute without fail their annual voluntary financial contributions towards the central Tibetan Administration, which is based at Dharamshala, India.

“The Dhanglang Chatrel contribution is not only a financial contribution but it is (also) one’s political expression of solidarity to the preservation and survival of the Tibetan identity – both culturally and politically,” the exile administration quoted him as saying in a statement on its Tibet.net website May 26.
