Four held in Karze township

(TibetanReview.net, Mar 18, 2009) — Four Tibetans – a nun, two laymen and a monk – were arrested in the first week of Mar’09 from two separate protests in Karze county of Sichuan Province, reported the exile Tibetan government’s Tibet.net Mar 15. A nun named Pema Yangtso from Shiluda village in Sengo town was held in the morning of Mar 3 after she staged a lone protest. Later in the afternoon, three Tibetans – Rinchen Phuntsok, 15; Tsering Dakpa, 16, and monk Choenyi Gyatso, 18, were held after they staged a demonstration.

It was not clear where exactly the protests took place.
