(TibetanReview.net, Sep11, 2013) Penguin India on Sep 9 launched in New Delhi a book by an exile Tibetan writer in English, Ms Tsering Wangmo Dhompa. The book, “A Home in Tibet”, tells the writer’s personal story; it is also a tribute to her mother and homeland.

Tsering has previously written three published books of poems, and was a finalist for the Asian American Literary Awards in 2003; this is her first non-fiction.

Tsering read excerpts from her book at the release function, which took place at the Moon River Café in Defense Colony, New Delhi, and answered a few questions.

Tsering earned her BA and MA degrees from Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi before continuing her studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and San Francisco State University.
