(TibetanReview.net, Mar06’21) – Tibet’s exile spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, received the first dose of his Covid-19 vaccine this morning. He rode to the local Zonal Hospital early in the morning for a jab of AstraZeneca’s COVISHIELD vaccine.

Emerging from the hospital, His Holiness appealed to everyone eligible to get vaccinated as well as to take care of their health.

The 85-year-old 1989 Nobel Peace Laureate thanked the Central and the state governments for facilitating him to get the jab at the Zonal Hospital in Dharamshala, reported the tribuneindia.com Mar 6.

India launched its Covid-19 vaccination for the general public on Mar 1. Those who are over the age of 60 years or who are 45 years old with co-morbidities are eligible.
