(TibetanReview.net, Oct04’19) – More than 7500 devotees from 61 countries are attending three days of religious teaching being given by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the Thekchen Choling Tsuglakhang, Dharamsala, which began on Oct 3.
The teaching has been requested by a group from Taiwan. Some 1,127 Taiwanese belonging to 21 organizations affiliated to the Taiwan International Tibetan Buddhist Association are attending the teaching, with 850 of them belonging to the ‘Bliss and Wisdom’ group.
The first day’s teaching was preceded by a recitation of the ‘Mangala Sutta’ in Pali by Thai monks. This was followed by the chanting of the ‘Heart Sutra’ in Chinese.
The teaching is being given on Nagarjuna’s ‘Precious Garland of the Middle Way’.
