(TibetanReview.net, Mar04’21) – Tibet is the least free country or territory in the world, along with war-ravage Syria. This is the finding in the latest annual survey of freedom covering 210 countries and territories across the world released by the US-based group Freedom House on Feb 3.

Tibet (along with Syria) has a total score of 1 out of a possible 100 in the global freedom rankings, show the group’s Freedom in the World 2021 report.

The group’s global freedom score for Tibet includes minus 2 out of a possible 40 for political rights and 3 out of a possible 60 for civil liberties.

Tibet ranked second behind Syria in the past several years. However, against its score of 0/100 last year, Syria has improved to 1/100 in the current year’s report.
