(TibetanReview.net, Oct12, 2018) – President Lobsang Sangay of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has on Oct 10 called on Deputy Speaker Ms Lucia Duris Nicholsonova of the Slovak Parliament as he arrived in capital Bratislava for his maiden visit to Slovakia.

Nicholsonova was stated to have expressed her concerns on the situation in Tibet under Chinese rule and the Tibetan people. This followed Sangay’s briefing of her on the current situation in Tibet and about the CTA’s Middle Way Approach of seeking autonomy, not independence, for Tibet through dialogue.

Sangay later met with the Slovak Parliamentary group for Tibet led by Martin Poliačik, an MP of the National Council of the Slovak Republic (the national parliament of Slovakia) from the Progressive Slovakia political party. Others MPs present at the meeting included Jozef Viskupič, Ondrej Dostál and Viera Dubačová, reported the CTA’s Tibet.net Oct 11.
