(TibetanReview.net, Sep08’24) – As Chief Minister Pema Khandu of India’s Tibet-border state of Arunachal Pradesh visited Dharamshala, which included a meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Sep 6 and leading a long-life prayer ceremony offered to the latter by his Monpa Community the next day, a delegation of the state’s Tibet support group has also visited the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and offered its continued active support for Tibet and the Tibetan people.

The Tibet Support Group of Arunachal Pradesh (TSGAP) team led by president Tarh Tarak and secretary general Nima Sange called on the CTA Sikyong Penpa Tsering during its two-day visit on Sep 6, reported arunachalobserver.org Sep 8

Tarak has briefed the CTA’s executive head on the TSGAP’s activities and future action plans. He has reiterated TSGAP’s all possible support to the Tibetan freedom struggle while also undertaking to work for the basic welfare of the Tibetan community in the state.

He has briefed the CTA on a series of events the TSGAP plans to carry out to bring mass awareness about Tibetans and the Tibet issues.

“Tibet’s independence is India’s security,” Tarak has said, while condemning China for its repeated claims of Arunachal Pradesh being integral part of it.

The group has said a workshop on “Environment and Security”, will be held in the state’s capital Itanagar shortly by the Core Group for Tibetan Cause-India in collaboration with TSGAP.

The Core Group for Tibetan Cause is an umbrella group for all Tibet support groups in India.
